We Moved!!
We have moved to the new house. Now living with about 70 boxes in the house :)
Everything went rather smooth, of course the moving company charged extra hours, that is to be expected. But at least nothing major broke.
Darren still not used to the new house, he still think our old house is home, when were are back there cleaning up, he does not want to leave. HAHA.. and Lea still love the river rock we have on the side of the drive way, Darren love to play with the mist from the garden hose. And Darren missed the duck in our old neighborhood pond.
Well, I think they will totally forget about all that in a week :)
One surprising plus is Lea now sleeping in her own room, and she seems to be doing ok. We finally get our bedroom back :))
Mixed Feeling
In about 5 hrs, the big truck from the moving company will stop by, yes, we are finally moving to the new place. Of course we are excited about moving in to the new house, the bigger house, the bigger yard, the nicer school zone, upscale neighbourhood etc..
But at the same time I am kind of sad to leave our current house. So many happy memories, the day that walk in to the model home to meet Matt - the salesman. The nervousless on putting in the contract for our first brand new home, the choosing of options down to the color of the tiles.. Then we see the house being built, starting from the foundation to the three levels, from the frame only to everything taking shapes. The final walk through was so excited, we are about that have a place of OUROWN, with only our names attached to it. And then we have snoopy play in the back yard the first day we moved in. The painting, the shopping for furniture on budget :) Starting my side photo biz ...etc. And then came Darren, and 21 months later, Lea, and this house will forever be remembered as the house they were born. I will definitely missed the mural I painted in Darren's room. Sorry Lea, have not get to your room yet before we decided to move :) I will remember how both of them learn how to sit, crawl, stand, walk and then run in this house. I will remember the tantrums Darren threw about 5 timez a day during the terrible 2 periods. These all happened right here.. And I will never forget how Lea walk around with a bottle in her mouth ( yes, no hands :)) and the shaking of the bottles/cups that leave a trail of milk :) And who can forget the bubble time they have in the Trex deck, one of their favorite activites. The fond memories of their first birthday party, Second party, the halloween celebration. And the time with the grand parents in the house.
I am sure we will all enjoy the new place, but we will never forget all the fond memories we have in this house.
